Holy Week Schedule for 2026
Maundy Thursday (April 2, 2026): Worship at 12:15 pm in the Sanctuary and 7:00 pm in the Parish Life Center will be the Living Last Supper
Our worship services on this day will focus on Jesus' command to "love another" as we hear the story of the holy meal that Jesus shared with his disciples on the night when he was betrayed. We will celebrate Holy Communion at both services. The 12:15 service will incluce the stripping of the altar. The 7pm service will have the drama of the Living Last Supper service will conclude with the stripping of the altar.
Good Friday (April 3, 2026): Worship at 12:15 pm and 7:00 pm in the Sanctuary
Both services will have the Way of the Cross liturgy. The Way of the Cross is a worship component adapted from a custom observed by Christian pilgrims who have said prayers in Jerusalem at a series of places that the city associates with the passion of Jesus. Traditionally there have been as many as fourteen stations, of these, eight are based directly on scripture and included in today’s worship service.
We leave this service in silence and contemplation of the sacrifice of our Lord.
24-Hour Prayer Vigil: Friday, April 3 at 8:30 pm until Saturday, April 4 at 8:30 pm
Prayer Warriors will be able to sign up in 30 minute increments. The preferred method would be to come to the church in the Sanctuary during that time to pray. Prayer can also take place from your home. There will always be at least 2 to 3 people in the building. A printed guide will be provided with resources. Easter Morning (April 5, 2026): 7:00 am, 9:00 am and 11:00 am
There are a variety of worship services this day to celebrate our risen Lord! The Easter Sunrise service will be at 7:00 am in the Lineberger Courtyard (weather permitting, the sanctuary will be used as backup worship space). Our Parish Life Center will hold the 9:00 am Contemporary worship celebration, and our Traditional worship will be held at 11:00 am in the Sanctuary.
Please join us for an Easter Potluck Breakfast in the Fellowship Hall at 10:00am with an Easter Egg Hunt for the children. All are welcome!
